raster.utm_zone_to_crs()

Create a CRS from an UTM zone string.

Usage

raster.utm_zone_to_crs(utm_zone)

Parameters

utm_zone: str: UTM zone identifier (e.g., ‘32N’, ‘01S’)

Returns

pyproj.CRS: The coordinate reference system.

Raises

ValueError: If utm_zone is malformed, the zone is outside 1-60, or the hemisphere is not 'N'/'S'.
