raster.group_tiffs_by_crs()

Group GeoTIFF files by their coordinate reference system.

Usage

raster.group_tiffs_by_crs(src_tiffs)

Parameters

src_tiffs: Sequence[str | Path | UPath]: Sequence of paths to GeoTIFF files to group.

Returns

dict[str, list[UPath]]: Dictionary mapping CRS identifiers to lists of UPath instances. UTM zones use format ‘UTM[N|S]’ (e.g., ‘UTM32N’, ‘UTM01S’). Non-UTM projections use format ‘EPSG’ (e.g., ‘EPSG4326’).

Raises

ValueError: If src_tiffs is empty.
TypeError: If CRS cannot be read from any file.
FileNotFoundError: If any source file does not exist.
